This wine is inky purple-red in colour. When first opened there are gentle oak-derived aromas of marshmallow and coffee - followed by lavender and tart blackberry.
The palate is complex but not demanding, reflecting all the above in a medium bodied, balanced style. The tannins are soft and very fine, producing a silky texture. The fruit characters are complemented by gentle malt and chocolate flavours, a distinct regional reflection.
